So, Parker is not a huge fan of cereal.... we have a hard time getting any in her mouth!  We'll just keep trying.

Four Months Old

Wow! Where has the time gone! It is so hard to believe that Parker is four months old! We went to the doctor on Thursday for her four month appointment. Here were her stats:

Height: 25 1/2 inches (90th percentile)

Weight: 12 lbs 12 oz (30th percentile)

Head: 15 3/4 (25th percentile)

Fun fact: Parker's weight for her height falls in the less than 3% range.

Parker is learning new things every day. She loves to stand up and look around. She really likes sitting in her bumbo, or sitting propped up on the boppy. She still loves her playmat, especially now that she can grab things. She found her feet in the last week, and most of the time if she is on her back, her feet are in the air with one or both hands holding them. She is doing great at staying awake for longer periods, and sleep is improving.

We started rice cereal and we set up her entertainer and she is really enjoying it (posts to follow)!

Kindergarten Tales

Being a Kindergarten teacher, I hear funny things every day. This one stuck with me today...

One of my little boys was sharing a story for journal about visiting his grandparents. Another child asked him what his grandparents looked like (for the picture). His response, "My grandpa has gray hair. And my grandma spray paints her hair so it is red".

Just as cool as a cucumber... I could not stop laughing!

Parker's First Trip to Opp

Last Saturday (March 26), we loaded up and headed to Opp for Parker's first visit.  Drew's cousins Trey and Caroline had their baseball/softball jamboree, so we went to watch them play.  Parker did great in the car and was in a really good mood while we were there.  We didn't take a ton of pictures (I've got to get better about that), but here are a few that I did get.
