2 Months

I can't believe this little girl is two months old.  Time is flying by, and this mama does not want to go back to work in two weeks :(.  We went to the doctor today, and besides those horrible shots everything looks good.  Here are her two month stats:
Length: 24" (95th percentile)
Weight: 9 lbs 15 oz (25th percentile)
Head: 14 3/4" (15th percentile)
So, we have a long, skinny girl!
Our sweet girl is doing an excellent job holding her head up.  She is rolling from her stomach to her back and can go towards either side.  She loves her playmat, and tolerates tummy time.  However, since she started rolling, we really have to use the boppy to get a good tummy time in.
Miss Parker is a great sleeper at night (going up to 6 hour stretches sometimes), but is not necessarily the best napper.  Some days, we can get great naps, others we get 30 minute cat naps.  She is still sleeping in our room at night (this lazy mama doesn't want to have to go across the house to feed her!), but is napping in her crib.  She's getting too long for the "newborn napper" on the pack-n-play that she has been sleeping in, so we're going to try to move her back to the cradle, and if that doesn't work, we'll just use the pack-n-play.
Little girl LOVES her daddy and enjoys the time she gets with him.  She follows both of our voices, and when Drew is at work and I have him on speakerphone, she starts looking for him.  It's precious!

Here is her 2 month chair picture (hopefully we'll have OUR chair by the 3 month picture!) and her 1 month picture and one from her birthday for comparison...

Parker's Newborn Pictures

We had Parker's newborn pictures taken about a month ago.  We used the wife of one of Drew's co-workers and friends (Holly Hanners Photography-- Check her out!)  She posted a few pictures on Facebook, but we got the rest of them last night.  So, family, here are a few that weren't on Facebook...

Parker's First Trip to Scottsboro

One thing I wanted to do while I was out of school on my maternity leave was to take a trip home.  It's a hard enough trip with just adults for a weekend, so I knew it would be difficult with Parker.  Drew took a night off work, so we were able to have an extra day.  We loaded up Saturday morning and made the trip.  She did great in the car.  We had to stop to feed her, and she got fussy about the last 15 minutes, but she was just tired of being in the car seat.  I was very excited for my grandfather to see little miss again.  He hadn't seen her since the day she was born.  I was also excited for people in Scottsboro to meet her.  We  had a great trip!!

On another note, we are so very grateful we made the trip to Birmingham a few weeks ago.  Drew's grandfather passed away last week, and we are just thankful that he and Parker had the chance to meet!!! We are blessed to have pictures of her with all of her great-grandparents!

All Dressed Up

Last Sunday, we ventured to church for the first time since Parker was born.  We made it to Sunday School, which we were very excited about.  Parker was an angel!  She stayed quiet until she drifted off to sleep!
(Of course, we took a few pictures before we left of our girl all dressed up...)
