Aspen

What a wonderful trip we had to Colorado with my dad and his girlfriend, Sandra, my brother, Jager, and his girlfriend, Allison, Sandra's daughter Amy, Amy's husband Zach and son Harrison for Christmas.
We headed out early morning on December 20, and after delay in Atlanta, we barely made our connection in Denver... or so we thought! We were delayed by 2 1/2 hours coming out of Denver into Aspen due to visibility problems in Aspen. We were debating renting a car and making the LONG drive ourselves, when they finally announced that we would "attempt" to fly. Let me just tell you-- Laura Ann, small planes and turbulence do NOT mix well. I had a death grip on Drew most of the 30 minute flight (it did not help that we were sitting RIGHT beside the propellers and were not allowed to close the windows).
We landed in Aspen and were shocked (not really) to learn that our luggage had not completed the trip with us. After talking with the Frontier people, we headed on to the hotel with our carry-ons. After arriving, we headed out for dinner and when we returned we left details with the front desk to check for our luggage on the late night flight coming in. Sure enough, it arrived at 10:30 that night.
We had a few great days of skiing. I had a minor melt-down on the first day, but then found the easier slopes and did great for the rest of the time. Drew and Jager had a blast on the harder slopes. The last day we were skiing in about 2 feet of powder. It snowed so much that we almost couldn't get out.
Our flight was delayed, but Dad's group was cancelled (they were flying into Huntsville, us to ATL). We decided to rent a shuttle to drive to Denver to hopefully make our connections. We made a last minute decision to stop at the airport where a plane had just landed and Frontier got us on the next flight out! Sorry this post is so long... Here are some pictures from the trip.
