Eighteen Months

Our sweet girl is growing up too fast!  It is unbelievable to think that she is already 18 months old.  We went to the doctor today and here are her stats:

height: 32.2 inches (60th percentile)
weight: 24 pounds 13 ounces (80th percentile)
head: 18 inches (40th percentile)

*We have enjoyed the beginning of our summer.  Parker is going to school two days a week to keep her in a routine and to hold her spot for fall.  She loves those days, and we are staying busy on our days at home.  We've been swimming, strolling, playing and just having fun!
* We got out baby's high chair this weekend and she is having so much fun with it.  Now, some babies can be in the stroller and another one can be in the high chair.  Just last week she was frustrated because 3 babies would not fit in the stroller!
* Parker has also become attached to a second lovey as of late.  She's always loved her pink lamb, but now her lion has become a tag along too!
* Miss Independent has entered our house (along with a toddler who throws major tantrums).  She wants to do everything by herself.  I am really trying to give her something to do to let her help.  She loves to take her diapers to the trash can, put her bowls and plates in her drawer, put up towels, etc.  Every night when we start her bath water, she opens the cabinet and gets out the color tablets and bubbles and puts them up after we have used them.  We can sometimes avoid tantrums with distraction, but we are most definitely having some around this house.
* Just for my notes, Parker cut back to one nap a day (on her own) at 12 months.  She takes about a 3 hour nap (at home) from around 12-3.  She is still going to bed at 8 and since it is summer, sleeping until around 7 and sometimes later.  She eats mostly table food.  She still is very picky about real fruits and veggies but loves the fruit pouches so we keep those around.
